Project description
Training is a key element for ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness. Public bodies and authorities have invested resources in promoting work-linked training programs. Evaluation is an inherent part of the training process, as it is essential to assess both the quality of the training and the outcomes of the intervention.
It is necessary to provide a flexible, customizable, and user-friendly methodology that helps work-linked training providers assess their activities by considering the results, the impact on participants, and the effects on the organization and its environment. Companies need a supporting tool that assists in evaluating their training needs, labor market trends, and the economic impact of the resources invested.
This new approach should cover four main criteria for evaluation:
Quality: Evaluate the quality of training by assessing which characteristics (such as content, duration, trainers, and facilities) meet the needs of the trainees.
Efficacy/Performance: Identify the results achieved during the training sessions and how well these results align with the needs of the labor market and companies.
Efficiency: Assess the outcomes with a focus on the economic and other resources invested in the process.
Impact: Evaluate the effects of the training on both the employability of the trainees and the competitiveness of the companies.
The ATWORK project aims to develop a methodology for evaluating the social impact of work-linked training programs on individuals, companies, and the socio-economic environment.
Objectives
Improve the training evaluation landscape through a new assessment tool.
Establish a suitable framework to promote work-linked training across Europe.
Provide an innovative method to manage work-linked training and assess its impact on organizations and society.
Enhance company environments through impact evaluation.
Contribute to the development of the social dimension of training, adapting it to new sustainability requirements.
Target group
Providers of work-linked training, to assess the training developed and its impact on the socio-economic environment.
Trainees/Apprentices, to evaluate the competencies they have acquired in relation to the needs of companies and the labor market, thereby improving their employability.
Companies involved in the process, to better align the training needs of the company with the training offered and understand how it affects their competitiveness and growth.
Results
In-depth interviews and an exhaustive analysis of the evaluation models existing in the countries
of the partnership.
A collection of indicators to serve as a basis for knowing and determining the impact of the training
actions on citizens.
A technological tool with high usability, based on the indicators proposed in the theoretical framework and the handbook.
